Mark your calendars for November 3rd and 4th for the Western Plant Health Regulatory Conference. This year’s WPH in-person Regulatory Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento and will provide attendees with important information on pesticide regulations and other activities impacting the pesticide and agricultural industry.
Discussion topics at this year’s conference are anticipated to include an introduction of DPR’s Acting Director Julie Henderson, who will be discussing DPR’s priorities and goals for 2022. Additional topics include updates from various DPR branch chiefs regarding pesticide registration issues, the industry perspective on emerging regulatory trends impacting California crop protection, and water and air quality issues related to pesticide application. CalPEST’s Pollinator Protection Plan, California’s influence on the global perspective, pest management and economic analysis, and AB 617 community engagement are also proposed topics of discussion at this year’s conference.
The WPH Regulatory Conference will be an excellent opportunity to see colleagues from the industry after a long and challenging year, and we look forward to seeing you all.
